Talked to the service advisor, he said their dealership has been basically a used car dealreship for 3 months. Toyota, across the street, had some vehicles... all with markups but still. Things are really bad.
Very Interesting. Given that Toyota just surpassed GM, it must be true of other Toyota vehicles, not just the 4Runner.
But how is this consistent with all the stories about supply chain problems, low dealer inventories, etc?
I only drove a Gladiator once, and I hated the wobbly, random steering. That's the extent of my experience with Jeeps. Why do they keep their value so well, given all these problems? That's what I don't understand.
I talked to a dealership salesman, and he was saying that they're in a miserable situation, with very low inventory. Salesmen are basically making no money. I guess that the markups on the few vehicles they have are supposed to make up for that.
