Yeah. My work vehicle does and we can't modify them. I used a cassette for a while, i still do in areas where my fm xmitter has issues with interference.
All of them will. I've heard that the baskets that sit way back aren't as bad, but if you put a full rack up there it's going to hit you. On my car (older BMW 5 series), it hit me for 3mpg. I took the racks off and only put them on when needed.
You can remove the cogs out of the unit. There are two cogs in there, one that spins freely and the other set that is more involved. Remove the one that is more involved, the sound will go away. Or tell the deck to play the other side of the tape.
