Which stereo do you have installed? If you have the auxiliary/mp3 input in your console, you can try that.

JL is likely conservative in terms of the power its speakers can handle - like Clemson said, however, watch the gain and you'll be fine. The stock speakers are 6.5 - although Crutchfield seems sure 6.5 can't fit in the rear, my installers got some 6.5 to fit without much problem. By the way...

I think you'll be very happy with the JL speakers - probably happier than with the Kappas. Good choice. I was going to go with some JL's before my local installer got something else they wanted me to try. Let us know how it goes!

It won't win any dB contests, but it sounds great to me. A fantastic addition to the low end. It's running 750 watts I think. I've never heard the stock JBL subwoofer, so I can't compare. I would imagine the JL 10w3 sounds better though - it's bigger and made by a better company. Plenty loud...
