Get the trailer, load the trailer with max load you’d carry, hook it up to a straight receiver and then measure the desired height. Purchase the receiver with the drop that correlates to desired tow height. Or purchase a receiver that is height adjustable.

I have my fog lights hooked up to my switch panel, fairly straight forward but I did end up cutting the stock wires. I can post pics when I have my car back

If I have a few days, usually this. I have a travel size pellet smoker that uses minimal power. Brisket then turns into BBQ sandwiches, French dip, brisket and hash etc etc.

One can break almost any locking pin in under a minute, I’ve had to break my own pins due to rust and it’s way too easy. The only ones that are somewhat secure are those that have a locking mechanism that won’t fit into a pipe and even the there ways around that.

Wire color is a little different on your lights but you should get the general idea with included diagram. Unless you have trailer brakes, you’ll use the 4 pin

I mounted mine below the factory switches. As long as you know what switch does what, you don’t have to look at them. 2 years now and no issues whatsoever.
