i also ebayed some pioneer speakers 6.5 front and 5.25 rear for about 50 bucks for both pair

amazon has a boss audio 8 inch sub that might fit under your front seat for around 90 bucks. a sub would definatly help.

i just bought my son a 1997 with 112000 for $5000. the guy said it was in perfect shape which meant it needs some work. it looks good , runs good and am now enjoying the challenge of what i can fix or replace next. to me if it looks good thats #1 , the rest can be fixed. good luck and happy hunting

check out ebay for a repair manual. i got a complete service manual for 5 bucks. then you can see and possibly diagnose some of your problems

sounds like a deal. i was just quoted 1650 at a toyota dealership. i just bought the truck, also a 97 with 112000.
