    Quick trip to Joshua Tree

Cool pics. Looks like they should have double checked the spelling before printing the sign:doh:

    Mod Warning on Thread Content

Yeah I kinda figured, the "old timers" that's cool. I just had to know. Thanks for not giving me more crap about it. As for the @, I'm not all that forum savvy so I did not know that. Sorry next time.

A Crash Course in Overlanding with the 2016 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro

No it wasn't any offense to anyone. I just meant that I personally better not use any words like overlanding until I understand the real meaning of it. Maybe by the end of this thread there will be one? But until then I'll just enjoy taking trips and "camping" with my 4runner.

A Crash Course in Overlanding with the 2016 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro

Yeah WTF? The term overlanding is a HOT button on this forum. Think better stick to word's like camping, wheeling, off road, and jeeping. Seems to be safer, and by the sounds of it more appropriate vocabulary to use unless going to Africa.

    The skid plate thread

I did some research and didn't come up with much. Being skid plate thread thought I would ask the question here. The stock front skid has a front screen with a air dam/deflector behind it that looks like it directs air to the front differential. I always thought that was for cooling, maybe I'm...

A Crash Course in Overlanding with the 2016 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro

I always thought overlanding was just a fancy rich persons word for offroad camping. So For what it's worth I thought I would look it up as I'm sure many have. From Wikipedia "Overlanding is self-reliant overland travel to remote destinations where the journey is the principal goal. Typically...

Terrain select screen in trd pro

Maybe a simple thing but I agree the center is a better location for it. "Cooler"in my book.

    Post your LIFTED pix here!

Got the 4runner paid off so finally could afford to lift it. It's nothing like the other really good looking rigs on here, but it'll have to do. Toytec adjustable front coils, wheelers T-13 coils & 5100's rear.

    Mod Warning on Thread Content

Tough one. How and who makes that call. I think 1engineer has a good point. Just my thoughts ban me from it if you want. Find it funny how some threads have been moved or unacceptable for lack of 5th gen content but others haven't. Example (not picking on anyone) "Input on Navada/Utah trip" by...

    Wheeler's T-12 & New T-13 Rear Lift Coils!

I just installed the toytec ultimate front coils set at 1 3/4 of lift, and T-13 coils with bilstein shocks in the rear. Rear before measurement was 36 1/2", after the lift and driving a couple days 38". This is to bottom of fender. Should have done center of axle to fender but the math still the...

Lift 1st attempt: Unsuccessful, best way to deal with tierod ends?

Air hammer. A little pressure and zap it with the air hammer. Tie rods, ball joints pop right out without any damage. Pickle forks damage the rubber boots. But looks like ya got it figured anyways.:thumb3:

    Front 5100 re-adjustment

Alignment has changed. The big one is it has more toe in then before lifting, makes it track better but hard on tires. Just a thought.
