I have searched but haven't found a solid answer yet on the 5speeds. My parents leased an 07 V6 4R and now we want to buy it out and it's about time to change the tranny fluid. I know it's supposed to be "lifetime" but we'd still like to change it anyways. Has anybody here done this...

I would think it's relatively easy, but the electronics might be tricky because your ECU is going to be looking for an automatic transmission that doesn't exist.

k, my 07 V6 has been doing this off and on since the day we got it and I wanted to check here before I bring it to the dealer. During sharp left U- turns with the wheel cut in all the way there's a very noticable bumping in the steering wheel much like if you had too large/wide wheels, however...

its no big deal, ours has scratches all around on the plastic, as long as no metal damage I don't care really. They should be able to fix that just fine.

I was thinking it might be the torque converter. On my fathers towncar, it would make pretty bad griding noises, and obviously the power delivery was shoddy too.

it turned out that there was pieces of tar kicked up from the road into the draintube. the dealer just cleared it out and all is fine now.

But the blower still works, I'm thinking now it might be a clogged drain-hose. I dropped it off at the dealer this morning anyways, I just wish I could have located the drain-hose myself and tried to clear it, but I couldn't find it.

are you serious? i have that same rattle and it makes me wanna trade the truck in cuz of it. I'll try searching for it

you mean as far as looking similiar? cuz thats where it ends. completely different platforms, ie rwd vs fwd. The Avalon is based off the Camrys platform as far as I know.
