    Bad day for the 4Runner

That sucks. I would complain to toyota corporate. And post about this in the dealership section: Dealers - Your Experience - Toyota 4Runner Forum

    06 Sport with Daystar Lift

You and the sweet pics of your ride are to blame for all the $$$ I've spent on mine. I may call you as a witness in the divorce proceedings.

    Yet another cracked windshield!

Had my 06 for just over a year now. Windshield cracked this morning. I heard a rock hit it yesterday when I was on the highway, but didn't notice any damage. Went from mild to very cold from last night to this morning. I turned on defrost this morning and "CRACK" a horizontal hairline...

Seat Warmers don't work unless you are sitting in them?

Mine (06) do not work unless someone is sitting in them. I assumed it was not so much a safety feature as an energy saver in case you leave one on, obviously especially the passenger side. I would prefer to pre warm them a bit though if I could.

    bumper guard

:wow: It sounds like which bull bar to choose is the least of the problems here. :flamethrwoer2: Having said that, I'm very happy with my Steelcraft, as mentioned it is VERY solid as it connects at 4 points and it looks like it was designed for the T4R. If you get it search for Jediwebdude's...

    bumper guard

Front or rear? Either way, from my understanding bullbars and the like are not very effective at protecting your bumper at anything other than VERY low speed collisions, like somebody bumping you in a parking lot. I have a steelcraft bullbar and I like the look of it and I like that I could...

    Purchasing "Certified"

In Canada the "Certified" badge does carry some weight as there is a 100+ list they have to go through to make it certified. Individual dealers may vary in their following this list, but I knew I was paying a premium from the dealership and made them follow each one to the letter. Here's the...

    08 4Runner Stock Parts

I think you're getting all these questions because it looks like you're parting out a wreck or something, so I'll ask one as well. Do you have the VSC off switch?

Anything about your 4R that just drives you crazy?????

I think he is referring to the VSC off switch which I believe was introduced in 2008. This is something that irks me about mine, I'm not sure if I mentioned it in my previous posts in this thread. VSC is a great safety feature that has helped me a couple of times when I've gone into a slide...

    The Evolution of JAC's 4Runner

Nice vid. I wish I could do donuts like that. Do you have a VSC off button, or do 2wd's not have VSC?

Anything about your 4R that just drives you crazy?????

The rear hatch electric motor for closing. I cannot think of one advantage of this. OK, so you can close the rear hatch gently, but is that really any advantage? It only seems like an extra thing that is bound to fail and be extremely expensive to replace. My tailgate just froze shut (at...

    Help!!! Rear hatch won't open.

Stoooooopid hatch motor My rear hatch wouldn't open tonite. I suspect/hope its only frozen shut because in the last 24 hours we've gone from mild pouring rain to frigid cold and snow. I guess I can add this to the things that drive me crazy about my 4runner thread because I cannot think of...

Anything about your 4R that just drives you crazy?????

I forgot one until today. Middle seatbelt reciever(?). It seems designed to stay under the seat, but when you need it you have to tilt seat up, which is a real pain with kid's seats in the way. Then when it is next to the rear driver reciever it gets pushed down when you try to put the...
