How noisy are these things from there? Quiet enough for nighttime in a campground?
They have their own fuel supply? Or you're tapping into the 4R gas tank?
Just curious, what was the production month of your 06? I'm wondering if this theory is correct that they changed the design of the gasket around November 2005. Or did your 06 overheat?
A generator / resistance heater sounds nice but I'm sometimes at a popular trailhead (e.g. 14ers) where there could be objections to the noise. I'm skeptical about battery powered resistance heat at least off the vehicle battery. Carrying and charging multiple batteries sounds like a pain...
People don't know sh*t at 30. No one should be allowed to use air tools on lug nuts until they reach at least retirement age. They can have an younger assistant to move the tire around, bend over, etc.
4th generation started in 03 model year. The head gasket was supposedly fixed, or at least improved, around November 2005 or during 06 production. You can check the production date of the 06 - but the issue may not justify eliminating an otherwise nice car.
