Thanks for all the responses. I'll check out the 4 runner and try some 4x4 trucks. I don't anticipate any extreme off-roading and really am most interested in a fun vehicle which is safer than the bronco.

I don't want to get a bronco as the technology is old and the safety standards are below mine. My roll bar question translates to which cabin is safest?
