Magnetic Grey 4Runners! Lets see them!

Decided to jump on the TRD wheel bandwagon today. Never had rubbing with these tires on the SR5 wheels. After the switch it needed a fender liner mod and I shaved just a bit off the bottom of the bumper cover corners. Haven't fully flexed it out yet, but it should be good to go based on my...

    Lift 4Runner or Tacoma

The 4runner, because this is a 4runner forum. For a more objective answer, assuming you do it right with a full suspension replacement, the 4runner parts will be about $500 cheaper (new coil springs vs. new leaf springs/bushings/u-bolts).

    Right Rear Clank

The rear hatch seems to be a common source for intermittent noise in the back. It took me a while to realize that was my problem since I was messing with all of the wrong stuff (spare tire, jack, tools, interior panels, loose cargo) and searching with the wrong terms on the forums. Check this...

    Best deals for 275/70/17??

Take a look at the General Grabber A/Tx. In my limited experience with them they check all of the boxes you've listed. I've only had them for about 750 miles, so can't comment on longevity. I've had many sets of BFGs and Duratracs on my personal and work vehicles. These are my new favorite.

    Fuel Pump Recall

Interesting to see how different everybody’s experience has been. A few months after receiving the letter I called the dealership, was told parts needed to be ordered and they would schedule an appointment when they had the parts. 3 weeks later they called back and said it was go time. I...

Wow. 54 miles cruising range to 1 mile in 5 minutes

Its normal for the the fuel gauge to not give an accurate reading on steep mountain roads. It rises (shows more fuel) on extended uphill drives and drops (shows less fuel) on extended downhill drives. Yesterday was the first time I've seen the low fuel light in my 4Runner. It came on as I...

Dobinsons 5th Gen T4R Suspension options - from Exit Offroad

2,000 mile/new tire update I've seen minimal, if any settling or loss of lift. Still 100% happy with this setup. My current center of hub to fender measurements are: Driver Front: 22.25" Passenger Front: 22.50" Driver Rear: 23.00" Passenger Rear: 23.25" The 265/70/17 BFGs were just a bit...

    Hitch Recovery Shackle Question

It’s a universal tool that takes a few seconds to steal. Don’t leave it in the hitch 24/7. I keep mine stored with the jack. If you put the shackle around the jack and have the jack properly secured in the mount, don’t need to worry about it becoming a projectile during a wreck.

Dobinsons 5th Gen T4R Suspension options - from Exit Offroad

It's totally different. I'm sitting 1-1.25" higher with the Dobinsons kit, so its not really fair to compare the two apples to apples. The most noticeable thing is that the center of gravity is that much higher. I was taking some big curves today at speeds that wouldn't have been concerning...

Those are evaporation ponds on the Great Salt Lake - magnesium extraction infrastructure.

Dobinsons 5th Gen T4R Suspension options - from Exit Offroad

Another data point for Dobinsons/Exit Offroad. I messaged Mike on Sunday. He responded Monday. Parts ordered on Tuesday night. Assembled/shipped on Wednesday. Delivered on Monday. Can't beat that! Parts installed: C59-300 front coils. GS59-700 front struts. C59-599 rear coils. GS59-705...

    Bilstein 6112 RIP?

Well I found another case like mine on the tundra forum. Same exact failure. Bilstein 6112 Failure! | Toyota Tundra Forum I guess I'll call Toytec when they open tomorrow and hope they will send a replacement without me sending in the busted shock first. Kind of lame that highway driving...

    Bilstein 6112 RIP?

I was doing my usual walk around and look at stuff routine when I noticed this. What say you T4R friends? Am I die? These have been installed for 4.5 years and have seen 39K miles. All on the pavement. That side has been squeaking for years. Never could find the source. Now its quiet.

    Superflowair MV-50 or MV-90

Those MV-50s have been re-branded a bunch of times over the years. I've had one for 10+ years and it still works fine. Don't remember which brand it is. That said... I would probably buy this for $45 instead of the seemingly identical Masterflow MV-50 for $85...
