    Saving for the future.

Ouch -- that didn't age well. I do see the pump/dump people are still pushing this one: Biora Therapeutics Inc. (BIOR): Ready for an explosive trading day – Invest Chronicle

What podcasts are you listening to right now?

Enjoy -- not everything is everyone's cup of tea. I left off a few philosophy ones: The One You Feed Tara Brach Cup of Tao I find if I give a show a solid five listens, I'll figure out if it's worth continuing in my feed or not. I learn something from every show, even the ones I end up not...

    Saving for the future.

Historically, it always recovers. This one is coming from highs that weren't justifiable by normal economic growth parameters. The ridiculous tax cuts from 2017-2018, deficit spending well before the 2020 Covid largess, continued lack of restraint or sane fiscal policies (both parties) ...

    Saving for the future.

I'm going to pose a scheme, an outline, for investment considerations. In an ideal world, someone who wants to invest would follow some steps (and some have little directly to do with actual dollars): 1) Complete and notarize legal paperwork if >18yo - Will, Living Will, Power of Atty for...

    DIY Replace hood struts

Some more data points for those who care. My lifts went south a year ago. Bought replacements ("Autosaver88") from somewhere. Noted one side would occasionally pop off of its ball fitting. Scared my teen driver when she was checking the oil -- she wasn't shy about getting under the hood...

DIY: Interior LED swap (cluster, HVAC, switches, window, *steering wheel)

Not sure if you are still working this so many months later. I'll share a short story here. I found the same issue with the backlight bulbs not getting ANY juice to those twin holes with the copper pads. All of my other LEDs (a SuperBright kit) with the NEO3s worked fine once the polarity...

    Changing Dash lights Pictures!! BLUE!

Really old thread -- and I finally got around to ordering the '03 4runner led bulb kit from superbrightleds.com Happy for the most part, but had some weird behavior. Like folks have posted elsewhere, polarity matters and it was hit/miss to get the LEDs to work at first. I bought the blue...

    2003 T4R Floppy Shifter

Do you think it's worn that way, or designed to be deeper? I can't tell from my unit.

    2003 T4R Floppy Shifter

3D printer? I'm afraid it might be difficult to machine the plastic part. It has the collar that rides on the shifter arm, and to the left the shaft/cavity that the metal spring-loaded rod lives within. Looks like the lubricant used for the rod may either be driven out over time or gums...

    2003 T4R Floppy Shifter

Just be careful with the old nut -- you won't deform it and it can be reused (or even reformed back into shape with pliers). The nut just keeps the bolt in place -- there is no mechanical stress there normally. If it's snug, it won't work out of place. Oh, and don't drop it into the guts…...

    2003 T4R Floppy Shifter

It's been a while. I took a look at pgs 2081-2 of the manual -- some of the plastic parts snap off (carefully), removed the console box (screws), and worked my way to it. There is a long bolt at the front of that top of the shifter -- it holds the top half on (the part with the channels that...

    Changing Dash lights Pictures!! BLUE!

A link to someone else's disassembly. I have to replace some bulbs now, found this thread and thought his disassembly might help. Not really sure one needs to take off the cowling under the steering column yet -- might be able to start with the storage cubby part. How to Remove the...

A/C Light Blinking on 2003 LTD

As you can see from my time-stamps, I was motivated to solve this quickly. A trip to Autozone here locally, their part #35874 for $13.99, the identical relay to the one I pulled. Installed it and A/C is once again happy. Thanks for the group think on this -- very nice to have resolution...
