    6th gen coming 2022

Toyota already makes the Fortuner (aka Hilux SW4) for markets outside the US which is BOF and a little smaller than a 4Runner.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

My dog gets car sick and likes to barf in hard to clean corners just before we arrive at our destination. I keep a spray bottle of enzyme cleaner in the 4Runner and it is magic stuff. Works good for all the nastiness that my kids contribute too.

Scangauge II in the coin holder.

Pretty sure someone fit theirs in the drop down sunglasses holder. I thought that was a pretty cool idea. Might have been Antman

You are really making me miss my '99 Tacoma 4x4. There is nothing more practical than a pickup.

Must have (Cheap) accessories for your new 4runner!

These don't go quite flush but they are low profile. I have one in the front cigarette lighter. The plastic protective cover for the cigarette lighter does not close over it. https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-Charger-Output-iPhone-Samsung/dp/B00M6QODH2

    Bad rear brake light

I had an issue with my drivers side brake light working intermittently. I tried cleaning all the contacts, bending up all the tabs, stripping the wires and replacing the staples. Nothing worked. Turns out the blue wire connection in the plug that plugs into the bottom bulb was loose. For now...

Tire choice for the very occasional off roading

I have the Cooper AT3 LT in stock size, load range C. It's been great so far in dry, rain, off road. Tons of grip, runs smooth and quiet.

    New AT/3s? 4s vs LT? B vs C?

I have the AT3 LT (load range C) in stock size. They're great. I also had the old AT3 in P-metric which I liked as well, but I did get a puncture at the end of their life. One thing to note is that the AT3 LT is M+S where the AT3 4S is mountain snowflake so if you do lots of winter snow/ice...

Building, Driving and Adventuring the MTN4RNR

Thanks for the write up on the AT3 XLTs. I'm glad to hear they handle snow well. I went with the AT3 LT and didn't realize that they don't have the mountain snowflake rating, instead they are "M+S" mud and snow rated. I've been a little worried that they won't handle snow as well, but since I...

    Car Seats and leg room

You shouldn't have a problem, but for other folks that need a rear facing car seat it can eat into the drivers leg room. Some car seats take up more space than others when they're rear facing and I've had issues with leg room at 6'2". However, with front facing car seats I haven't had any...
