    Car Accident!

Don't be fooled... most dealerships don't handle the body work on site, they usually outsource it to body shop. I had an accident with an Acura I owned. I took it to the dealer to get it fixed thinking it would be taken care of there... no such luck. I also know the Lexus dealership my father...

    2 MPG Better Now

Is there a how-to or faq on removing the charcoal filter? EDIT: found this, http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=50342&highlight=charcoal Is the process the same on the V6?

    Towing Q's

Eureka! Thanks to everyone for the info. I measured the hole in the draw bar (not sure why I didn't do this originally) and found it's 1 1/4" diameter. In doing some research I found there is in fact a 2 x 1 1/4 hitch ball but doesn't seem like a commonly carried size. Fortunately for me...

    Towing Q's

The draw bar which came with my truck is rated for 10,000 lbs with a 1,000 tounge weight which I find odd considering the V6 is only rated to 5,000lbs. Heck the V8 is only rated to 7,300lbs (or is it 6,700lbs, whatever)... I was in Home Depot today picking up moving supplies and found that the...

    Towing Q's

I have an '07 T4R Sport and plan on towing a 5' by 8' trailer to MN next weekend. The truck came with a prewired tow hitch and the piece which goes into the receiver (tongue?). I need to pick up a tow ball and harness for a Uhaul trailer (at least the ball, I don't want to get taken to the...

More stylish: Front vent visors, front and rear, rear, or none?

From what I remember with my Jeep (I don't have visors on my 4R), there was slightly more noise with the windows up. Windows down... well noise is to be expected :driving: That said, the benefit of being able to crack the windows on hot days to let the car cool a bit as well as the benefit of...

Once installed, I never took mine out so I can't comment on the noise... why would you take them out anyway?

    OE navigation useless?

    May sound silly but important!

More stylish: Front vent visors, front and rear, rear, or none?

I've had the in-channel visors on a previous vehicle without an issue. The visors were made by WeatherTech and came in two different tints (http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvproduct.aspx?ItemGroupId=4&VehId=637&Year=2007)

More stylish: Front vent visors, front and rear, rear, or none?

My vote is front and rear OR none. Someone in my neighborhood has front and rear visors which go in the window track, I think they look great.

    OE navigation useless?

I've had issues at times loading addresses into the OEM navigation and find loading addresses into my navigation in this order works best: 1. City 2. Street Name 3. Street Number For whatever reason, the navigation unit "finds" the address this way...

    4WD is slow to engauge

You don't need to move backward or forward slightly.... I found engaging 4WD from a dead stop requires cycling from R to N to D, usually goes in within 5-10 seconds. Something about taking the load off the transmission/ transfer case when going to N then loading it up going to R or D (or both)...
