Hello again. My 2001, 4runner, when I come to a stop, the trans doesn't shift to 1st. I have to shift into neutral or reverse then shift back to Drive. To get into 1st. Or I can hit the accelerator and with a gnarly thud as the trans drops to 1st, the truck moves forward.

I cant thank you enough for your detailed reply. I ruled out the tie rods and the steering pump is only a couple years old, the belts are good. I just need to find a lift to check the rest.

Everything 9n line says my in cabin air filter is behind the glove box. Not on this 2001 Toyota 4runner. Can you guys help me locate it.

I have a 2001 toyota 4runner. With 275000 plus miles. Is there any real benefit to using premium fuel. My engine seems to be in great shape no odd colored exhaust.
