    Crunch goes the tree....

Well, not sure if happy yet ha but this ended up in my driveway: Repair of my 4Runner did not go well, bottom line. Went to pick it up Friday and I didn't make it half a mile before having to return with multiple electrical issues not to mention the "to be fixed" appearance stuff. I'll...

    Crunch goes the tree....

Well, was told it would be ready for pickup 9/14, so stopped by 9/13 out of curiosity and to drop off the roof rack delete kit (so my roof wouldn't leak constantly). A replacement Baja rack wasn't ordered by shop in time, so now told a 4-6 week wait, so I said don't bother, I'll get one myself...

We had a little storm last night, the 4Runner took a bit of damage...

Congrats, I'm facing the same fate in the next few weeks (currently in week 11 of repairs). Glad to see there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Here's where mine sits if you get bored, I truly feel your pain. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/222410-crunch-goes-tree.html My...

    Crunch goes the tree....

Yep, Snow Jet nailed exactly what I was told as well regarding diminished value when I asked my agent.. since there was no other party involved, I'm screwed. Basically, I can't go after my own insurance to try and get it. I'll be driving the repair shop nuts until it's perfect, that's about all...

    Crunch goes the tree....

If I had to guess it wasn't reinstalled yet. The picture showing the dash is actually just the top part temporarily put in place and had to be removed again. They said they put it back in to test fit after welding in the new cowl piece between dashboard and engine bay/firewall area. Once...

    Crunch goes the tree....

Ha, trust me I feel the exact same way assuming the family and dogs are not in the house. :D Following up with some more pics, she's still in the shop 10 weeks later and several missed "finish dates". Painted, waiting to be buffed and then reassembly of all those missing parts they tell me...

    4 Runner Commercial

Finally saw it after others told me about it, I enjoyed it! Of course, I'm originally from Louisiana so instantly got the joke, as they speak a whole different language down there haha Enjoyed seeing a 4Runner commercial with the Trail and making fun!

Same question w/ a different application

What you want to install are these based on what you are after: Daystar? - Driven by Design They keep the factory shocks/coils and factory ride, as all it does is mount above the front coilover assembly and rear coils, lowering them thus lifting the truck. I installed them a couple weeks ago...

    What do you guys think?

I just love to think of the Toyota engineers' thoughts that ever see this ha :zoom:

Some assistance with TRD Pro Pricing...

Q1- Yeah that $5K is insane and ridiculous! Don't pay that! Q3- I sure wouldn't pay more than MSRP for it, as you can get a SR5 or TRAIL for under MSRP. I've read reports Pros are selling for a bit under MSRP as well, at least in some parts of the country. Whatever that $5k is, don't pay it!

Wheel spacers.... what do you got?

No more than aftermarket wheels with similar backspacing.... I wouldn't worry about it. The look is exactly what the 4Runner 5th Gen stance should have been all along IMHO. I'm very happy with the Spidertrax, it's a high quality built part, more an adapter than a space, and work great! Simple...

    Running boards, keep or remove?

I like the look of the Shrockworks, but their lead time is insane... I just didn't have the patience ha so I went with some fat nerf bars that just used the stock mounting bolts. Also, I didn't love the idea of bolting something that is bound to trap moisture and crud against my frame rails...
