I agree. When I was doing my lift, I didn't see this a a problematic step in the process. This thread highlights that and what to do about it.

No rubbing with 265/75/16 on my 01 SR5. I have duratracs if that matters. A 265/75/17 should also not rub as all the outer dimensions of the tire are the same as 265/75/16.
