Just replace the door if you're having issues. Drill out the rivets with a step bit, pop in two m6 rivet nuts, install new door and you're good to go.

2k clear coat is a type of commercial grade, UV resistant clear coat. Literally has two parts you shake together in the can before applying. Don't skimp on PPE. Those consumer kits are ok, but are often missing some durable UV protective layer to finish the headlights with. Here's what i used...

Sanding and spraying with clearcoat will get rid of the yellowing and crazing. Maybe not perfect, but will get them back 80-90% of the way there. Important you use 2k clear vs some cheap consumer grade clear coat. Mine have held up great after 5 years in CA sun.

Quick update on this thread. WH calipers are still going strong and am glad I went back to the OEM 4th gen setup. Would still NOT recommend the 5th gen brakes as an upgrade. Stick to 4th gen parts (WH or WG).

Not hard. I have milspec terminals. Just cut and crimp on new battery terminals and you're good to go. Make sure you have a proper crimping or soldering tool.

Stainless is not a good idea. Prone to galling and you will have an even bigger problem.

Being in Cal now certainly helps, but 13 years in Chicago took its toll.

Did you end up having to drill the bolt out? I’ve drilled out plenty of bolts, but drilling out a broken bolt on the engine block does give me pause. Might buy an induction bolt heater.
