    Great replies Placed in neutral, both the cardan joint and slip yoke seem tight.. as do the u joints. It appears that the slop is in either the rear diff or transfer case... Thoughts???

    Thanks to you both. Yes i think the yokes are turning. I realize i shoulda changed the joints before writing the thread. I gotta get on them. Lets say for the sake of argument that i fix the u joints and still have the clunking... is my next area of concern the diff? Thanks again and happy...

    Lately ive noticed a "clunk/thud" in the drivetrain mostly after engaging the clutch and applying throttle.. But it will occur if just applying to much throttle too quick as well. I live on a fairly steep long ridge side; so I usually coast down it while in neutral and when I come to the stop...

    No, they are not dented/damaged. They do have some curb rash and general cosmetic issues, but they seal up just fine.

    What are the CEL/MIL codes? I don't doubt that your 3rd gen is worth $3k, but being a rustburgh t4r with mentioned issues, you need to supply more info.

    Tailgate window stuck Down!

    Well sure as shizz... I manually powered the liftgate motor and it closed the window. I also checked the wiring harness but found no snags or splices. When I hooked the motor back up it started to drop the window... I assume its a bad switch, but at least I'm able to raise the glass manually...
