I suspected that the color was molded into the plastic... My current theory is that somewhere in the Toyota delivery chain (port of entry, Dealership #1, Dealership #2 - It was a dealer transfer sale) someone tried to "paint-over" some damage to that panel.. If you look closely at the picture...

Are the gray plastic body panels on a 03 Sport painted or is the plastic molded in that color? The reason I ask is that the passenger molding directly behind the front bumper is peeling... Thanks in advance, B.
