I had an annoying intermittent rattle from the glovebox for awhile before I decided to take it apart and track it down. In my case it ended up being the 4WD ECU that's located behind the glovebox - the metal plate it sits on was loose... Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk

Still there in 4wd? If not, possibly needle bearing. FWIW, my 2016 has had an intermittent vibration in the driver side foot well that sort of matches what you are describing since new, I've learned to live with it. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk

Check the splash guard pins in the driver side front wheel well. You'd be surprised how much noise those flimsy things can produce. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk

Just looked at the manual - 1165 lbs, 835lbs for those with locking diff. Guessing the lower number accounts for when the differential is actually locked - if unlocked it can likely handle what the open is rated for easily. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk

I don't think you're missing anything. All models with the locking rear differential are rated lower than the ones without it. IIRC my SR5 is rated just a tad over 1000 lbs payload. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk

Same here. In fact, after a heavy rain when I pop the hatch open the weather stripping on the bottom has water inside the channel which leads me to believe somehow water ends up running down the inner wall of the hatch where it shouldn't be. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk

I wouldn't touch the filter personally. As far as the TC fluid, I changed mine at 60K and what came out wasn't much different than the new fluid that went in... Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk

For what it's worth, my 2016 has had condensation in one of the taillights for years, no ill effects to speak of so far, aside from aesthetics. I could be wrong on this but I do recall seeing moisture in the taillights referred to as normal somewhere in the manual..... I'd argue against that...

Old thread but just wanted to say thank you to the OP. Used this write up to drop the glove box while chasing a rattle in that area. It ended up being the 4WD ECU bracket above the glove box that has somehow gotten loose. To my surprise, I managed to not break any plastic clips in the process!
