I had a loud speaking noise in my 11 LTD which I purchased new. It started after about 4 months. With the help of this forum I put some elec tape on the tailgate catch. Solved the problem.

I'd be interested in seeing Ltd with a scoop simply because wheels/trim/different years have different looks. Same goes for sr5 and same goes for a trail wo a hood scoop.

Anyone have pictures of their vehicles with the swaps completed?

Thanks 1000MPH but have recently tried your solutions ie. white grease on tailgate stops. It actually sounds like a part of the frame or one of the body panels squeaking.

Creaking in 5th 2011 Limited I got the creaking too! Anyone have any luck? Seems to be when humidity/rain is present it's louder. Occurs when bumps/vehicle turning. Any help much appreciated cause it sucks! 19000 miles and had it for like the last 4000. Thanks

Ok kinda thought that might be the case. Any idea what that may run at the dealer? Should I do all six at the dealer or one? Is it something an amatuer mechanic can do? Do I do them all at once if it's all opened up or should I just do the one? Thanks

Okay, thanks for the great advice! So I started by swapping the cyclinder #1coil pack with the #3 coil pack, problem persisted with the same code. I put in a new plug and new wires and still have the same code. I also replaced the pcv valve to no avail. Any ideas as I am getting close to...
