I have a 2004 4Runner with 5300 miles. When the car idles in drive, the RPMs drop to around 500 and then the car feels like it is going to stall and then the RPMs shoot up to around 750 and then start to fall back to 500. I took it to the dealer today, but there were no codes in the system...

I have read the manual. Like, I said, most of the time it works as per the manual. But every once in a while instead of engaging/disengaging, the 4Lo light will also come on and blink. They won't stop blinking until I turn the car off then on.

I have a brand new 4Runner and occasionally when I shift from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive, or vice versa, The 4Lo light, center diff light, and 4wd light start blinking. The only way to get them to stop is turn off the car. If I restart the car, everything is fine. This doesn't happen...
