I am in the market for a 3rd gen and saw this on craigslist. I was thinking of offering 3500 cash? It has 250,000 miles on it. I ran the Carfax and it has had 3 owners. It was first sold in Ohio and it is now in california. 2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4WD 4 Speed Automatic

I would offer 4500 cash. If they don't except that, walk away! I would look at private party first, Its easier to negotiate on price. Dealers always ask too high because they know eventually some sucker will buy it for the asking price. Just my 2 cents.

Hey everyone! I was hoping to get some input. I'm in the market for a used 4runner. I'm looking at a 1999 limited with 198,000 miles on it. I know these things are beasts but is that too much millage for a 1999. They want 5,995 for it. I think I can talk him down to 5,000. What should I look for...
