4Runner OR vs Bronco Heritage- which to buy?

    I have owned 6 different 4Runners (1984, 1989, 1997(x2), 2003 and 2010) and I still have the 2003 and my daughter drives the 2010. I purchased a 2022 Bronco Badlands 2-door and have put 23,000 miles on it trouble-free. I drove it 1,200 miles to Moab, did Hell's Revenge, Fins&Things, Onion...

I love the paint work you did to the valve cover. The 22R-P is a nice touch too!!

    1st Gen T4R Picture Gallery

Took my girl to Texas Toyota Jamboree last weekend. Had a blast!! I saw a lot of 1st Gen's, but wasn't quick enough with my camera. Barnwell, TX. is either a dust bowl or a mud bog. Last weekend was the dust bowl variety.

Will you keep your 4runner if gas hits $8 a gallon?

When the "powers that be" start dumping their beach homes and grounding their private jets I might begin to listen to them. These past couple of years of out of control government have really put a damper on any desire for me to purchase a new electric car. I'll keep rolling in my dinosaur...

What did you do with your classic T4R today?

That's just how mine is too. I can get better pictures, but the wider coils are above and the smaller coil is down.

What did you do with your classic T4R today?

Did the ZUK Lift. Went to the pick-a-part and removed the rear springs on a 1998 4Runner. Price - $25. Got new shocks off RockAuto. Closeout Price - $25. So $50 all in. They do squeak even after I sprayed them down with silicone lube. I might need to try some grease next. They really...

My new to me 1984. It appears to be a frame off restoration. The blue one is a stock 1989.

    Help! Buying first 4runner

As someone who has always had IFS 4Runners, I just bought my 1st Solid Axle version ('84). It doesn't drive as straight as my '89 IFS 1st Gen. The darn thing is down right scary at 75mph. My '89 has stock suspension and fits 31x10.5R15" MT tires without any rub. I had the same wheels and...

    Temperature Gauge Sender Type

I just bought a temp sending unit yesterday. Not sure if type J or K. The website info doesn't say either, but this is what you need. Toyota 1984-1988 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 7.3211

What did you do with your classic T4R today?

After selling my '97 I couldn't stay away from the older Yota's. Found a local 1989 and bought it. Promptly removed the hardtop and installed a Softopper. I had plans for doing the SAS on this girl, but I just bought an '84 as well. I may be in the market to let this blue '89 go to a new...
