This is probably the correct explanation. I havent had it off pavement for more than 10 miles. Odo turned over 12k. I have had it since oct 2016 so almost 2 years, about 6k of those miles were family roadtrips, the rest commuting.

Correct. I was in a town at a home address on a paved road. I used 4runner GPS to get there from a Holiday Inn Express, also located in the same town on a paved road. Using the same nav system for the return, it suggested a different route, and a small portion of that route was a blocked off...

My 2001 jeep cherokee works this way, pull the inner handle on locked door and it opens. I guess it is a luxury car now. Good thing too because the door jamb wires are so frayed that the electric lock unlock buttons are intermittent at best.
