1999 sr5 v6 my power door locks have a mind of their own. They operate by themselves while driving or even when stopped and trying to lock or unlock the door. Any idea's ? is there a separate relay/ fuse for door locks only? Help please Bill

It is the sound of the plunger being pulled in . Since you manually activated it, it would be more like the solenoid winding are fubar, possible shorted. Seems that way to me anyway.Good luck

Windings in the solenoid defective. You can manually push plunger and it spins, but not with solenoid.

Should be able to buy a continuous rated solenoid at any parts supplier. They used them in school buses for years now supplying power to the control panel for lights, heaters, etc

I have a 99 and my heater/ a/c is same as yours. @ very small bulbs in the heater unit. Hope this helps. Don't know the number, calling the dealer today.:drum:
