Looks like I made a mistake....our 4runner is an automatic, sorry about the confusion...I couldn't understand why you were mentioning the clutch, then glanced back at my post, yikes :confused: Next time I'll post earlier in the evening when I'm not tired....:p

Not sure, I'm assuming that would have been something the mechanics would have checked. How can we tell if it isn't disengaging properly?
Seems to me it wouldn't be shifting normally into higher and lower gears and that doesn't seem to be an issue.
