Never saw that thread originally when searching, but thanks. Scrolling through those posts it looks like everyone is using the thinner Hayden transmission cooler and the 13403 that I purchased is much thicker (maybe 2x thicker), so was hoping someone else was able to do what I wanted to do.
I ordered a Iconic Fabrication Transmission cooler bracket, the Extreme Duty adapter, and the Derale 13403 Cooler to put on my '22 to prep for towing in the future. Finally got around to try and install it this weekend and have no idea how to make this thing fit.
Does anyone have this setup and...
Yep I did find the issue and it seems to be my terminals. Seems like the aftermarket terminals wouldn't get snug enough and could slowly vibrate loose. Instead of using any sort of thread locker, I got some simple locking washers and tightened everything back down. have not had a issue since and...
So after continuing to look at everything I am leaning that direction as well. The negative terminal has a extra post that give a little bit more space, but that also sacrificed thread engagement and curious if that just works its way lose.
If you went back to stock, do you have any extra...
Yeah everything is back to stock. The USB connection has always been a little lose (the usb-a input, not sure about the connection on the back) so that is also an interesting thought. Will probably pull the radio out tomorrow and just see if I can see any issues.
Hate the fact that a bad radio...
Yep so I have looked for codes even in the absence of a CEL, but nothing. Also everything I have done has been with the battery disconnected (long standing habit that I learned from my dad).
Yeah pretty much all I have done for the past couple of days has been researching this unfortunately...
Push button start.
So normally the order of events is as follows
Radio reboots 3+ times in short succession.
Then the entire electrical system shuts down and restarts. All gauges drop out, dash turns off, then immediately comes back on.
Then if it happens again it happens as I am trying to...
The HAM antenna has not been removed, but it is not a grounded antenna and the mount is on the rear hatch.
I am curious about the billet terminals coming loose and am curious if there wasn't enough clamping force on the negative terminal (started thinking about this after staring at it some...
The HAM radio was wired through the blue sea systems Blue Sea Systems fuse block with a 15amp fuse, and that sat behind the 100amp circuit breaker. When it originally happened I unplugged the Radio itself so that there would be no power draw (I have since removed the entire fuse block and...
Thanks for the help. I have checked and double checked every ground that I have been able to find so far and everything has been tight. Haven't checked the connections to the fuse block under the hood, but I have removed the Blue Sea System to remove a factor from the equation.
Looking to get some help with my 2022 4R with 49k miles. A few months ago I noticed that my radio was starting to reboot while driving. It would happen a couple times and then stop (working just fine after that for the rest of that time I was in the car).
After a couple months, things...
Got a DM from another member who is in the UK, we are working out the details now, but if this falls through I will send you a DM if you are still interested.
I don't believe it is direct plug-and-play. Originally I purchased so that I could use the housing to mount a HAM radio control head, but ended it mounting it somewhere else.
Believe these are a couple good guides on hooking it up and getting it working.

Looking to sale my field monitor unit for the 3rd gen 4runner. I purchased it for a different project, but decided to go in a different direction and don't need it anymore. I haven't modified it or done anything with it, basically just set in a box.
Asking $80 DM if...
