Glad I found this thread! I just bought a new 2017 SR5 and noticed the last 2" of the body below the doors and between the wheel wells is orange peeled also. I'm glad to see it's not a paint flaw and that it was only on my 4rnnr.

The 3M stripe off wheel appears to work on the youtube videos. I've been looking at a 2014 magnetic gray 4Rnnr with white pin stripes. I'm concerned there would be "ghosting" after the stripes were removed. The car looks and drives good and is priced right. Just not a fan of the stripes either.

I need to make a correction in my "Quoted" post in post #618 regarding step 4 (Caliper Paint) to avoid any confusion. The first sentence should read: The Rust Preventive paint needs to be slightly tacky when you put the Caliper Paint on for best adhesion.

Whether you use the Por15 Caliper Painting Kit or other, I recommend painting the calipers. They rust fast. Outside of the look of rusty calipers I wanted to try to slow down the piston and cylinder walls from rusting. Check out post 616 for more info. Of course powder coating would be better...

I sent my 4th gen front calipers back as a core return to Rock Auto recently. I received my deposit/refund in about 10 days no problem. That was about a week ago.

You have the larger 338mm/13.3" rotors on your Sport. Your dust shields will work with the 5th gen calipers without modification. Some where in this thread someone stated that even though the oem 4th and 5th gen pads have different part numbers, they are the same size. So what you have should work.
