This is a great buy because... Gobi racks are about 6 months out. I just got mine and I ordered it in November of last year! You could probably require a $100 premium over retail just because of that one fact. :thumb:

I didn't run into this problem at all. Did you maybe miss the plastic spacers or maybe the metal shims or something on the 4 "GOBI" logo brackets? it's supposed to be from bottom to top stacked directly on top of the metal in the roof gutter: 1 skinny rubber pad, the two white plastic...

I was thinking straight bar as well, but I just found this thread http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/180410-custom-gobi-stealth-rack.html#post1826477 and the curved bar actually matches up pretty well, and the curve on a 40 incher doesn't seem to crazy. I hope the rack I ordered comes...

So what do you guys think? Curved 40" LED bar on the Gobi rack or straight 40" bar on the rack? I'm thinking that if I were to get a bar above the windshield, it would be curved, but on a rack, maybe not? I'm trying to picture it. Not sure which to get.

Yes. These are actually made for the SR5. I just hacked my Limited so they would fit. These bars were not modified. So yes, they will work on the SR5.
