Swapping Frames. No clue what I’m doing.

Pretty cool! You should know the kbb value is much lower than reality. For reference, I sold my 2004 v8 in good shape with 156k on it for $12k a few weeks ago. Had two people that wanted it at that price. Keep that in mind when you figure on your sheet if this was a good investment or not.

What did you do with your 4runner today?

    FS, 2004 V8 4Runner $16,000 Kansas City

Feels like I'm putting a member of our family up for sale. We purchased a new truck so no need for the 4Runner we have had since ~60k miles. It currently sets with 155,xxx miles and slowly climbing. The runner is clean with no accidents and has performed every task we have asked. We have...

I traded up for the younger one

Sweet, nice looking ride! We have an IS 350F in white with black interior, love that thing. We got awd because of the snow in Kansas... rwd would have been fun. Do your cooled seats do much? Ours doesn't really make much noticeable difference... just more noise. That's my only complaint... that...

    Going to an f150 ecoboost

Funny you bring up diesel, I was just going to suggest it. I'm in the same "boat" you're in. I have a 5k lb boat that I need to tow and have been looking for something different to do the job as my runner is getting up there in miles at ~160k. I'm planning on getting a Ram 2500 with a cummins...

Arb awning install to factory sport roof rack

Get the 8 footer if you're going to get one. It's the perfect size, that 6 foot would be too small...IMHO. wadle5 would you agree?

Need a 460 guy to help me out

Yep, that's for the "pre-collision" system.

    Bought a GX!

Nope, they are also interference engines. My 04 runner has one. https://www.tundrasolutions.com/forums/1gen-tundra/66842-4-7-v8-interference-non-interference/

No problem just question about heat and traffic

Nope, you should not. The temp gauge on my 2004 has never been over half, or normal, in the 152k miles I've owned it on or off road. It gets 100+ degrees here in Kansas with no issues.

Lift install at shop....or do myself (in Appleton, WI)?

Also on the old suspension, you have the option to take it all off or leave most if it on. I just cut the rubber hoses and left all the old hydraulic hard lines on the undercarriage. Been meaning to get around to taking them off.... but 3 years later, still can't find the time...I'm not OCD...

Lift install at shop....or do myself (in Appleton, WI)?

You should do it yourself if you are somewhat mechanically inclined. I put my lift on and countless other guys/gals on here have as well. It's pretty easy as long as the nuts and bolts are not completely rusted together. Tips? A big pry bar is a must to get the rear springs in. A shorty...
