    Pacific Northwest Ideal AT tire

I'm in the 206, and Again, I'll vouch for the Les Schwab Open Range. Great in the wet, quiet, good mileage (23 avg on a trip to big sky and back) really great in pnw snow, as well as dry rockies fluff. And they wear like iron. And you can't beat Les Schwab for customer service.

    4WD differences?

Huh? I have a 2020 SR5. I can 'throw' it into 4hi anytime I want, regardless of conditions. I slow down to under 40 mph and it goes in like a charm. Who did you 'learn' this from? Of course, when the pavement turns dry, I take it out of 4hi. Easy-peasy.

tire choice for long highway and extreme offroad

Mazama Open Range A/T's are your unicorn. Never stuck them, quiet on the pave and can air up and down easily.

Question for owners of hybrid vehicles:

My awd RAV4 hybrid has been rock solid and all service (just standard scheduled...I've had ZERO problems...never stranded) has been done by Toyota dealerships, or ASE certified shops in smaller towns. So not sure where the 'abysmal' reputation opinion is coming from. I got 35mpg on a trip from...

Hit a deer - bodywork advice

Yeah, I do not think any frame element was damaged. It was a pretty light strike. The guys at Mule mentioned that I may need to upgrade the suspension due to extra weight, as you mentioned. I am going to file a comprehensive claim with my Insurance (State Farm).

Hit a deer - bodywork advice

Thanks AZ Craig. I didn't want to file an insurance claim and have my rates go up, but I think I may just do that.

Hit a deer - bodywork advice

Hello to the collective- 2020 SR5. Hit a deer out in the Methow Valley (1st deer contact in my life, luckily). Front passenger lower quarter bumper and driving light damaged and need to be replaced, that's it. The deer bounded up the hillside never to be seen again. I was very amazed at the...

    Another another tire thread

2020 SR5. I've go two years on Mazama Open Ranges (Purchased at Les Schwab) Very impressed with snow/wet traction, and they're quiet.

PNW snow-pocalypse Mazama Open Range tires

HOOOOOLLLLYYY crap, what a mess these past few days in the upper-left!!! Winthrop: 17 inches of new fluffy snow over a compacted snow base, temps in single digits and teens, and a dire need to deliver my Niece to SeaTac for her flight back east. TL;DR version- Mazama Open Ranges did so great...

    Pacific Northwest Ideal AT tire

Two winters on my Les Schwab Open Ranges and I'm very happy. Quiet, great in rain (The bomb cyclone last week....) and great in snow. Good mileage also on two trips to Jackson Hole and back. Good luck on your decision!
