No it was continuous. When I was stopped, the car would shake and my rpm was low. Once I gave it gas it was good. If you had a bad fuel pump your car would shut off because it's not getting fuel. And you'd have bad starts. Get some throttle body and intake cleaner and there's a thread here...

Clean your throttle body. Takes 30 minutes and even if it doesn't fix it, which It probably will fix, it will give you better performamce. I just had this issue and it's gone. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

I had something just like this on an older car. If I could remember it was the shocks or struts. What I THINK happens is that going over bumps at slow speeds it's practically bottoming out and making contact causing the thunk. I'd look at them or have them inspected. I'm sure a shop offers...
