Suspension installation recommendation in Seattle area

I've considered it as I know it's not TOO difficult and requires basic mechanical skills but as someone who lives in an apartment in the city I don't exactly have the area necessary to do the work by myself. I know there are garages you can rent with lifts and such (like this), I'm just looking...

FS: 4th Gen GOBI rack in Seattle $1,495...read on for information

tl;dr $1,495 for a GOBI rack estimated to arrive in 1 month...final production date still TBD I have a rack on order for a 4th Gen 4Runner from GOBI that's currently at 13 weeks since I ordered. I've been waiting 9 days now for them to get back to my production update request (which they would...

Suspension installation recommendation in Seattle area

I'm interested in upgrading the shocks/springs in my 2007 Limited (which best I can tell after 153k miles, has never been upgraded and appears to be the stock components) and need to know who in the Seattle area can do the work. More specifically, I need to know who can do the work but have me...

    Spare wheel question

This has all been great information as I just installed SCS SR8 wheels on my V8. I ordered the SCS wheels with new lugnuts provided by them but I have a quick question. For the standard spare that comes with the truck, would I be able to just install is "as-is" or do I need to get a different...

New 4th gen T4R Owner in Seattle

Howdy T4R board! Bought a 2007 Limited about a month ago and have been on here nonstop ever since, finally feeling like I wanted to contribute. Lots to learn and it's a fun project to personalize the truck and fix the neglected items from the PO and make the changes/upgrades I want to it slowly...

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Well, yesterday I finally got around to installing my 17” Stealth Custom Series SR8 wheels that I've been sitting on for several weeks while I decided on tires. These are replacing the stock 18" Limited wheels and whatever Continental tires the PO had on them (I've only owned this 4Runner for a...

    Bilstein 5100 thoughts

Yeah, I think that's my concern here...that if I plan on upgrading the springs down the line (or discover that I need to after only replacing the shocks), the double labor in effect doubled the price off the springs had I just done both in the first place. I've not yet priced out labor on it all...

Thanks. I may get the springs after looking at a link above but to start, I think just grabbing the 5100 shocks will be a solid upgrade!

Maestro and idatalink with new head unit install

Not sure if you've been here but check, this out... iDatalink - Maestro - Search I just installed the HU you are referring to (XAV-210) a couple weeks ago and I love it. It's a little quirky in that it takes like 10 seconds to start up each time which is really stupid seeing as most cars are...

    Bilstein 5100 thoughts

I'm curious how many people are installing 5100's with the stock springs... I just bought a 2007 with 150k miles on it and looking at the CARFAX it seems to have been regularly maintained but no mention of shocks/springs replacement and I notice the truck is a little sluggish in the handling...
