I have been looking for bracket that actually attaches to the gutters on 88 4runner I hate the way this looks and doesn't feel very secure. Anyone know where I can buy a bracket that attaches directly to light bar. Stag has made in pass but I can't get a response via email from them not to...
Got to go play yesterday truck did great. Although I need to replace my idler arm now. I think I will do the gears soon. Thinking a Detroit Tru trak in the rear and an arb in the front. Still haven't completely decided.
Thanks for the responses I received, So after learning all about the starter and how it all works. I tested the battery and was getting the right Voltage however I had a friend bring a load tester and sure enough the battery was shot. Must have been just unlucky it happened right when I...
Yea that's the wire. Thing is never had problem with starting till I put new battery cables in. Had wife sit in car and could feel and here the starter relay on fender area click. Pretty sure I could here a faint click from the starter itself as well. Thinking that wire itself is the problem...
I doubled checked it before I posted battery + to starter is tight both ends. Battery - to engine tight on both ends. Even lightly sanded at the block for negative to make sure ground was good only had to take one nut off at starter to remove cable
OK look I'm not a mechanic at all. All I did was change my battery wires and now truck won't start. 88 4runner I read a ton of stuff about starters and fixes but I really need it all dumbed down. I cleaned where my wires connect real good to ensure it wasn't a bad connection. Yes the...
So how do I determine what rear leaf kit I would need so that the stance of my truck still looks the same. Would it be like a inch lift in the rear to match the front? Where do I measure to figure this out. I have looked all over for an answer with no luck.
Yea I put the tires on it as they needed it bad. Got an alignment done. Put together an auxiliary fuse block together when I was bored yesterday. I really just don't know anything about lifts. Guess I'll have to look into it alot more. I think I'll do the gears either way (4:88) Seems like that...
Yeah 33s is whats on there so should I deal with springs first? If so what is it I need to buy a leaf spring for a 5 inch lift or something like I said I'm an idiot when it comes to this stuff or should I use the 2k to do the gears. That's what it's gonna cost for local shop. Was thinking...
Learning as I go here truck is fairly new to me and I'm no mechanic or fab guy learning as I go. Anyways I got about 2k to drop in truck here's some pics of it. Was going to put 4:88 gears in and a locker but is that where I should really start hell I don't even know what the lift on it...
I'm late to the game in doing my own fab work but finding out don't have much of a choice still working on a way to mount light low and just above the wind sheild meanwhile guess I'll do an auxiliary fuse box for future pans
I have looked alot. Yes I'm new and either I'm an idiot or just can't find it. In search of a 42 inch light bar bracket that is low profile at attaches to door fram. You know like the 2nd Gen ones except there's a damn rain gutter in the way. Anyways I'm not much of a fab guy so hoping to...
