I don't know if this matters or not, but on my SR5 if the xm radio doesn't get a good signal it just says Loading on the display. I'm just wondering if maybe your antenna came loose or something simple like that.

I'm just too particular for a spot fix. I run a paint and body shop and we won't even attempt it. You can "burn" the clear in and then buff, but especially there on the leading edge of the hood, there is a very good chance that it could get damaged again. Besides, the vehicle wasn't that way...

Do not accept a spot fix. I wouldn't accept anything but a complete hood paint and blend into the fenders. With the paint being new you can probably get away with not blending the fenders, but I would definitely expect them to paint the whole hood.

What you need is plastic dye. I run a paint and body shop and we run into this all the time. Just head to your local auto paint supplier and let them know you need plastic dye in whatever color you're trying to paint. Again, scuff it with a scotch brite first to get all the old paint off...

I did figure something out last night, if I turn the BT on my phone off, and then push the address book it will push the first number, but then lock up again. Very strange, I would think that it would work with the BB since that is a fairly popular phone.
