Not to hijack this thread but where were you able to get your headers installed? I've been looking for a place in the Boston area that is willing/able to do the work but so far have not been successful....

Was thinking of upgrading mine as well.... URD pipes look awesome but all I could find was the V6 version.... Do you have a link or part number for the 2UZ V8?

Glad that worked out..... Thankfully an easy fix....

Check the clearance between the dust shield and the rotor.... The dust shield can be easily bent and with the flex of a full lock turn the rotor could rub against it.... If that is the problem it's a real easy fix, just bend it back away from the rotor and you should be fine....

I would recommend that you consider getting the A1 Cardone CV axels from partsgeek: https://www.partsgeek.com/pj8w2g1-toyota-4runner-axle-assembly.html Heavy duty thermoplastic outers is worth the money and there is no core to return so it saves you the trouble of shipping it back... IIRC...

I had an annoying rattle that turned out to be a metal sheet over the muffler that had come loose... I think it was there to isolate the heat of the muffler from the body.. If the sound is "tinny" you might see if that is your problem....

The tick is common on all 4th gen V8 and is probably associated with a cracked exhaust manifold... Not a big deal mechanically but somewhat annoying... For all the cylinders to be misfiring at once it has to be associated with something that is systemic and not associated with a single...
