I have an '04 limited with manual 4 WD. Both lower front pistons were found seized at about 40K, and now at least one of the rebuilts I installed is now also seized. Appears to be a design defect. If doing this yourself be careful to match the casting numbers on the calipers.
When stopped with foot on the brake I hear what can be described as a small motor or vacuum pump running. As soon as the pedal is released the noise stops. Any idea what it might be?
Brake Calipers Seizing
Replaced my front 4 piston calipers once at 60K miles, now the rebuilt passenger side seems to be seized (pulling to the left). Does anyone know if the basic design is flawed?
