Thanks King. I was wondering the same,so thought I'd ask to get confirmation. It's on there pretty solid, and I can cut it off, but wasn't 100% sure if I should cut it off. Looks like it will fit just fine without it.

Tried that too. Still can't compress enough to get the nut on. Those bushings are fat. Triple checked and the bushings are the correct ones. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk

You do not have RDS. You should be able to retain your factory sub. Not sure about a diagram .. I replaced head units in my 2004 limited and 2006 set. Crutchfield had the appropriate harness for each. I got better advice by calling Crutchfield vs online. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk

There are silver patches along both rear inner wheel wells. I looked for wheel well liners bout couldn't find any. If anyone knows where to buy them please comment a link. I also thought about spraying bed liner in the wheel wells. Would this work well of is there something better to do?

Yep. Great find Ralphman, so clutch. These are the tools I used. I grinded an 8d nail that was helpful.

Ralphman is the man! I didn't think of removing the black clip because I could see it wasn't holding anything in the harness. But it covered that the harness was 3 pieces and showed the secondary clip. I will upload some pics in case someone runs across this.
