Hi all, I am looking to replace the stock wheels on my '04 v8 Sport Edition with an older set of FJ/Trail Edition wheels - has anyone done this with a 4th gen and can let me know if it's a direct swap?
Thx!
Not sure if this is the place to post this, but does anyone have a recommendation for a mechanic/shop in Orange County (CA) I can take my 4th gen to? I have a reman steering rack and LBJs that I need installed and don’t have the time to fuss with it myself. Ty!
$100 seems high to get the coils installed on the shock, I think I paid a guy $60. Just call around to some small shops and haggle. It is worth it and will save you a bunch of time when doing the install.
That's correct. You'll notice a considerable difference in the front especially but with that setup and the 5100's set to 0 it should be level. I had 140k in mine with original shocks/springs (and X-REAS) and the difference was night and day. No more rake. I went up a tire size as well to...
I have the same issue. It looks like you can order the OEM LBJs here. Part #4862660010

Super helpful, thank you. So a 884 is probably a better choice for the fronts in terms of a stock vehicle w/ no bumper/wench (I don't have either and not planning on it) and pairing with 5100's? Are the 885 rears for a lighter load than 885e's?
Also, I spoke to a couple people at 4Wheel Parts...
Misc parts?
I'm planning to run OME 885/895e + Bilstien 5100s on my '04 V8 4x4.
What other misc parts/items do I need (if any) while getting in there and installing the lift? I'm going to add a 5mm driver side spacer to eliminate lean, but is there anything else I'm missing?
Should I take...
Same problem here. Drove my '04 V8 through some pretty deep water and in mud two weeks ago. During that day it didn't have any issues but the next day and ever since I've had the same exact symptoms. Every morning it takes about 10 or so tries to start - I get the single 'click', then nothing...
