Just a quick update. Car is still throwing P0172 & P0175 codes. I have not changed out injectors yet, or anything else at this time.
I am now following the 2 threads below and will likely purchase a new transmission wiring harness after I confirm that the transmission plug is full of...
I have about given up on mine, but looks like i need to get underneath and check that connector. Mine has gotten bad enough to even shut off randomly while driving it, normally when turning which is super fun/safe. Thanks for your post white_lx2!
Sorry I just saw this thread quote!
1) It doesn't fit super snug side to side, there is a small gap on either side but haven't measured exactly.
2) I would think that its strong enough, but the top shelf isn't solid so there's a chance it would break it depending on the weight on top but it...
Still dealing with the same issues. The car stays parked most of the time and I really don’t want to give up on it. But starting to lose faith. Anyone else have any luck?
At this point, I'm kind of desperate as well to have a reliable backup vehicle, so I'm sold, lol... hopefully you are getting a cut of the sales :) Did you purchase direct from aFe?
Keros, still going good with the intake? I'm about to just try that and see if it will be my miracle fix as well. Still having issues to this day and just hardly drive the truck anymore because of it.
Definitely considered this as well. I ran a fuel pressure gauge for a few weeks and even when it was messing up, the fuel pressure didn't seem to flinch. Also when turning the car off, the pressure went down normally not quickly which would indicate a leaky injector. May have to try the FPR...
Checked over mine really good this weekend and couldn't see any obvious cracks or gaps. Let us know if that intake solves it for you Keros, I may have to go that route as well :)
Will definitely check this to be sure, but have done multiple tests with carb cleaner to see if there was air getting in anywhere and haven't found it yet. Also replaced a K&N drop-in filter with a paper filter just to be sure that wasn't causing it, and replacing the MAF multiple times, lol...
I'm in the same boat too. I don't want to give up on it, and don't want to pass it along without being upfront on the issues. It would make more sense to fix it and keep it, but I can't find the @#$@$ source of the problem...
Just out of curiosity, pull your ECU connections and see if there is...
Keros, have you figured out anything since your post? I don't want to send you down my rabbit hole just yet, but wondering if you had figured anything out to fix yours. I have been dealing with those 2 codes for the past 3 years (i rarely drive it anymore). Replaced multiple parts multiple...
Still having this issue. Everything that I have tried so far through this tread has seemed to be a temporary fix. Anyone have any updates on what they have tried and still going strong?
Just another quick update. I don’t drive the car as much anymore but I’ve been throwing p0172 & p0175 codes left and right here lately.
Oil still showing up in ecu (never did the splicing of solid cable from the trans)
Checked again for air leaks. Only new thing that may be possibly...
Awesome news earthrealm! If you don't mind to report back, let me know how your rig is still doing. I don't drive mine much anymore due to having a work provided vehicle, but i had the problem again yesterday when driving it for the first time in a while. Driving along and it felt like the truck...
