    WTB: 2007-2008 *V6* 4x4

Please no 2WD/RWD Please no V8 I'm more OK with stock vehicles than poorly built or cheaply built ones. I'm looking for something with minimal rust, but it doesn't need to be pristine. Mostly looking for a base to slowly build up over time but would also be OK with someone else's partially...

    Most comfortable generation for seats?

Hey all, I'm looking for input from folks who've gone from one generation to the next that might be able to give subjective opinions on which generation has more comfortable seats for long road trips. My 2004 Forester is not great seat-wise, and I hear the 1996-2004 Tacoma seats are terrible...

    FS: Washington DC 1999 4Runner Limited 4x4 100k miles w/ rebuilt SC & e-locker

I'm sorry but unless you absolutely need the money from the 4Runner in order to get the Lex, you are leaving an easy $3-5k on the table by trading in. They will turn around and sell it for at least as much as you were originally asking if not more, if your descriptions are accurate.

    FS: Washington DC 1999 4Runner Limited 4x4 100k miles w/ rebuilt SC & e-locker

For a sales post that lists customizations (supercharger) and concerns (minor rust), you should break out the camera and get ~50 pics or so into that Flickr album. Pretend you are a really picky buyer interested in your 4Runner and think about all the things you'd want to see up close. Take 2...

Thanks for pointing out the history of this one - it sure has been passed around. Good call!

Real world pricing assistance - 1999 limited

Thanks ToyotaBrah, Living in the rust belt with a vehicle that LOVES to rust (Subarus start to rust in the first week they come off the line, I swear), I think I'm probably going to look for a final-year 4th gen from the southwest, then NHOil the heck out of it religiously. It means putting...

Real world pricing assistance - 1999 limited

Yep it's the Limited bone stock w/ E-Locker. And yep it's Davis. The underbody looked so much like a desert car (superficial surface rust here and there, but perfect chassis) that I was hoping against hope that what I saw was what the actual rust levels are: 1999 Toyota 4Runner | Davis...

Real world pricing assistance - 1999 limited

Hi All, I'm strongly considering paying what I think to be a steep price on a 1999 Limited. Car in question: 1999 4R Limited automatic, dark green with tan leather, 180k miles Exterior: genuine 8.5/10, with a small clearcoat patch 2", and superficial scratches, but recently detailed and waxed...

    anyone near richmond

Hello Richmonders! I think I may have found a good 3rd gen. I'd be driving in from Pennsylvania to check it out and would love to have any recommendations of Richmond shops you'd trust to do a good pre-sales check over of the vehicle. Thanks!

Nice to see another gen 3 build.

Making my 3rd gen suitable for winter living?

Not sure if it's already been covered in prior pages but air mattresses can really suck the heat out of you compared to an insulated camping pad. There are a lot of pretty decent blow-up insulated mats out there in 1 and 2 person sizes that will make a huge difference in your warmth and comfort...

    3rd Gen from Colorado

Sweet evolution - did you build that overlanding drawer system or is it a pre-built? Interesting tire evolution also.

New to me 3rd gen 4runner

Sweet deal finding a non-Limited w/ the E-Locker. It's been hard to find that combo out East.

2001 4runner... Back in the game after a decade long break!

Your purchase experience is unfortunate and actually mirrors my dealership purchase of a used Subaru Forester a few years back. I thought I was doing the grown up thing to get a "certified pre-owned" from a big Subaru dealer after having mostly bought cars private party or in some cases from...
