I know this is an old topic but has anyone recently found a flip key option for a 2004 4runner? The links in this post are outdated. Just wondering if anyone is still interested in a flip style key. Searched ebay and amazon with the FCC ID# and came up empty.
gshadow325 Have you had more time to look at the Pioneer AVIC-8000NEX? The more I research it the more I like about it. But haven't heard any expert opinions. What about Pioneer don't you like?
Added a pair of the 9006 LED lamps and tried to apply the "XBLED" code. Said code was not valid. Also tried the code "XD10" which is actually on the website and it said that is not valid either.
So I'm thinking of doing a stereo swap with amp additions and I was wondering how people are dealing with the air vents under the seats? Seems like it would hinder an amp install under there? Maybe I guess it depends on the size of the amp? I don't really want it to stick out. Just seeing what...

I am a musician/music lover and would love to drop in a kickass system. But my bank account ain't havin it right now. Not sure ANY 8" sub is gonna blow the doors off but I wouldn't mind trying! :drummer:
I have the JBL Synthesis system so it sounds ok for now. But the ultimate goal is a full audio upgrade. So for now I'm doing my research. Just looking for components that fit. Since the price isn't bad I might try and do a quick swap and see how it sounds. But eventually everything will get changed.
As far as choosing a sub. If it doesn't have to be a JL sub...like riceandpho said Pioneer makes shallow mount subs. I've been looking around as well and found this one online. 2-5/8" mount depth.
