I rebuilt my lower control arms about 1 month ago at 189K on 06 4runner. 3 out of 4 cam bolts were seized in the bushing requiring a sawzall to cut them out. We tried using heat, pb blaster and a c clamp to get the bushings out of the control arm but it wouldn’t work. The only things that worked...

You can check the water pump by pulling the serpentine belt off and spin the pulley on the water pump to see if it is rough and wiggle it back and forth to see if it has any play in it. My water pump on my 06 4runner went out at 184k.

Just replace them now, was off roading a little while ago when I had a small pin hole leak in my cv axel boot and my cv axel blew apart while I was hammering up a hill. Just got too hot and blew up. Oreilly sells cv axels for about 100 bucks with lifetime warranty.
