Out taking sunset shots this evening....wow what a sky. And a nice shiny (but surprisingly dirty) 4Runner!

Here's my take on replacing them with aftermarket housings. I purchased the Depo brand for my '01 and I have no regrets on them at all. The beam cut off is nice and sharp and left to right, they match almost exactly. These are well built and I see nothing "cheap" vs. the originals. My factory...

On a side note, when I get these codes, my VCS TRAC lights never come on. I checked when starting today as well, and they don't even turn on either. Any ideas why they wouldn't even light up when starting?

Subscribed....I periodically am getting P0440, P0441 and P0446, but not the VSC/TRAC lights. What's helped me the most so far (and kept it from kicking the CEL on every 250 miles) has been to NOT top it off anymore when fueling. Once the pump stops, that's it. I was able to go almost 2000 miles...

I'm using the remotes that have FCC code HYQ1512Y, which include the rear window control, for my 2001 with the VIP system. I paid 10 bucks for two on eBay, pretty good deal. 2 new batteries and 1 run through the programming sequence and I was done...

Pretty dumb, but I checked while on lunch at the office (glad I keep latex gloves in the 4Runner) and my oil filter backed off. Never have had that happen before. Guess I'll watch that :)

Sorry to bring back an old one, but my '01 is leaking right there as well and figured someone might have an answer on this. Anyone? Oil cooler line?

I never felt comfortable going down that in my old Cherokee. Maybe someday in the 4Runner! Nice rig you've built :)

Lower right hand corner of the cluster, looks like the same light/figure that my 2001 has for the center diff lock.
