What head unit are you using? I had minor issues when I transferred mine, but I had to 'allow' it on the phone. My biggest problem now is it doesn't display them anymore when I try to list... I'm using a pretty cheap HU though.

I would use a paint thats made for plastics, and highly suggest the use of Adhesion promoter. It can be found at your local auto store.

Try listening for that split second to make sure each speaker is playing before it shuts off. Maybe put your ear next to each of them as you turn it on. Once you figure out which speaker it is, you pull that speaker and double check make sure the terminals have not come loose. Try that...
