    2wd am I crazy

I think I’m officially talked out of it. Between the many points that have been brought up here and thinking about it in general it just doesn’t make sense. Thanks for everyone’s opinions.

    2wd am I crazy

Oh also, is a bit of a whining noise under hard acceleration normal on these 5th gens? Kinda sounded like a supercharger noise but not as loud.

    2wd am I crazy

This is a very valid point. I’m going to test drive a Highlander before I make any decisions. Who knows I might just continue driving my 4th gen until it dies... once I get it back from the shop.

    2wd am I crazy

Thanks everyone for the comments and thoughts. I definitely do see what some of y’all are saying that maybe I would be better off with something like a Highlander. The look of those just doesn’t do much for me. I almost feel like at that point why not just get a mini van. The 4runner is being...

    2wd am I crazy

I’m considering purchasing a 2016 SR5 Premium but it is only 2wd. I haven’t gone off-road in years so it’s not really a concern to me. We get very little snow around here. I’m more concerned with reliability and transporting family and my mountain bike. But am I crazy? Will I be screwing myself...

New KYB Struts Plus & Daystar 1" Kit=5" lift?!

No issues in the rear. Followed a write up on here and it all went smoothly after I cut off the tops of the old shocks.

New KYB Struts Plus & Daystar 1" Kit=5" lift?!

Not 5” for me I can say for certain I didn’t get 5” over the saggy stock height with this configuration. Maybe 3.5” that has settled over time.

    After Market Blind Spot Detection

I agree, the cargo area mirrors are awesome. A little weird to get used to but now I use them all the time. I feel lost when I’m in any other vehicle that doesn’t have them.

What did you drive before your 4Runner

Ha thanks! Unfortunately there is a reason I don’t still have it. Old sports car plus neglectful previous owner meant lots of problems for me. But man when it was working right it was a blast to drive.

    TRD Tacoma Tailights?

Just as I thought: https://www.google.com/amp/jalopnik.com/important-what-do-we-think-about-amber-rear-turn-indic-1576554304/amp Not trying to sound like a safety nut though. Would be cool if the light still appeared amber through the tail light paint. Maybe you could find some transparent red...

    TRD Tacoma Tailights?

It would be an aesthetic improvement. However from a safety standpoint, I have always hated vehicles with red turn signals... which is essentially what you would be creating here. To me, they just don't stand out the same way a flashing amber light does. I'd even bet they get rear ended more...

    Moog fj spring issue?

If it were me, I'd try the AC Delco springs. Cost less than OEM but more than Moogs which I've known problems. Seems like a good middle of the road option.

Clunking on driver side over bumps?

I will agree on sway bar bushings as a good guess. I was able to grab my sway bar and move it around enough to recreate my clunk. I was afraid to snap a rusty bolt so I had a shop change mine when it was inspected. They said they didn't think they needed to be changed but I told them to do it...

Daystar REAR 1.5" Lift Instructions (With Pictures)

To my knowledge, the order is different depending if you have the 4Runner spacer or the FJ spacer. I have the FJ spacer on mine because he price was lower. 4Runner: coil - spacer - bumpstop FJ: coil - bumpstop - spacer Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
