Pretty sure that it's an OEM colour - "Gold" but it wasn't introduced until 2001 so it couldn't have come on that vehicle. All of the early limited cladding and stuff was silver/gray/colourmatched. I know the ad says clean title but I'd be afraid that it was in a pretty good hit at some point...
I have my trail gear sliders tucked up and in about as much as I can, with the angle on the outer bar sort of filling in the gap a bit. You'd have to know that there were originally running boards there to notice them missing.
255's are pretty much optimal on your stock rims, 255/85s are my go-to tire but I don't think I personally would run it on an 8 inch aftermarket rim that wasn't steel.
That's because the 3rd generation 4Runner has the quintessential 4x4 SUV shape. It'll never go out of style because it was one of the cleanest iterations of that classic shape which most 4x4 oriented SUV's before and after it have been modeled on.
