That’s what has me baffled. These are non interference so how would the head get damaged. Not sure, all fluids were at levels and normal looking upon tear down.

Thanks for the quick reply. I planned on pulling the valve cover tomorrow but that’s about as far as I’ll take it. I won’t touch camshafts or bearings, a little past my knowledge and confidence. Any ideas on what could be broken or what to look for specifically once I pull the cover?
